Meet Coach Milt

"Maximizing human potential is my passion."

How I Became a Coach

I am an executive leadership coach with over 30 years of experience in and out of corporate America. I began my career in human resources with General Motors Corporation, and have held a variety of positions, which increased in responsibility until retirement in 2005.

While working for General Motors Corporation, I obtained a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix, and utilized the degree to continue my work with GM in the areas of change management and organizational development.

In 2006, I founded Great Minds Coaching, a coaching and consulting firm specializing in leadership coaching of middle managers and executives in the growth and development of their careers as well as assisting organizations in maximizing their people resources.

As an Adjunct Professor at Spring Arbor University in Michigan, I taught courses in Leadership, Negotiations, Human Resources Development, and Strategic Management. I am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), and a Past-President (2010) of ICF Michigan, my local ICF Chapter. I am also a founding member of the Midwest Regional Advisory Council (currently The Midwest Coaches Development Council), and served as it's first Preseident for 2 years.

I am a Co-Founder and the President of The BAR-Brothers Also Read, a literary organization whose purpose is to support the intellectual growth and development of its members and mentor young men into adulthood.

I am most proud of my coaching work in the Emerging Leaders Program where I work with leaders in my home state of Louisiana to rebuild their communities post hurricane’s Katrina and Rita. Since, 2011, I have also served as a leadership coach for the Detroit Revitalization Fellows Program whose mission is to recruit, develop and retain leaders for the City of Detroit.
